What is the Math Kangaroo?
The Math Kangaroo is an international mathematics competition for students from grades 1 to 12, however we will only cover topics from grades 1-7. It focuses on logical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking rather than just computational skills. The competition consists of multiple-choice questions that vary in difficulty, with different point values assigned to each question.
Homework will be structured as follows:
5 Simple Warm Up Problems (1-5)
10 Past Math Kangaroo Problems
1 Challange Problem

Week 1: Intro to Math Kangaroo puzzles and basic problem-solving.
Week 2: Build number sense with arithmetic and pattern puzzles.
Week 3: Develop logic using counting and combinatorics puzzles.
